You can permanently delete your Memoir account and the data linked to it at any time, free of charge. Use the app, or this page if you no longer have the app. Deletion is immediate and can’t be undone.
1. Delete your account in the app
The steps are the same on Android and iPhone:
- Open the Memoir app and sign in.
- Tap More in the bottom bar.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted, type
DELETEto confirm, and tap Delete my account.
You’re signed out straight away and your account is deleted.
2. Delete your account on this website
Enter the email address of your Memoir account. We’ll email you a secure link that works for 60 minutes. Open it, review what will be deleted, and confirm. This also works for accounts created with “Sign in with Google”.
Can’t access that email any more? Write to support@memoir4u.com from any address and tell us the account’s name and email. We’ll verify that it’s your account and delete it within 7 days.
3. What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove at once:
- your profile: name, username, email, phone, photo and all optional profile details;
- your sign-in details, app sessions and devices (push-notification tokens);
- events you organise, with everything in them: itinerary, sessions, speakers, participants, invitations, chat, reviews and media links. Other people lose access to these events too.
- your chat messages, reviews and media links in other people’s events;
- your notifications, settings, privacy choices, reports and blocks.
4. What is kept, and for how long

| Messages you sent through our website contact form | Kept for up to 365 days, then deleted. Ask us to delete them sooner. |
| Server backups | Overwritten as backups rotate. We never restore deleted accounts from them. |
| Information we must keep by law | Kept only as long as the law requires. |
5. Before you delete
- If other people rely on an event you organise, tell them first. Deleting your account deletes the event for everyone.
- If you signed in with Google, you can also remove Memoir’s access in your Google Account (Security → Third-party apps & services).
- Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
- You can sign up again later with the same email, but deleted data can’t be recovered.
