Safety

Child Safety Standards

Memoir has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to everything in the Memoir app and on memoir4u.com.

1. Prohibited

  • any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers children, including drawn, generated or edited images;
  • grooming: building a relationship with a child to abuse or exploit them, online or offline;
  • sextortion, trafficking, or arranging to meet a child for sexual purposes;
  • sharing links to, or asking for, any such content.

2. Age requirement

Memoir is not for children. Users must be at least 13 years old (older where local law requires) and confirm their age when they sign up. Accounts we find belong to younger children are deleted.

3. How to report

  • In the App: use Report on the message, photo, review, event or profile and choose Child safety.
  • By email: support@memoir4u.com (subject “Child safety report”). Don’t attach the material itself — describe where it is.
  • You can also report directly to authorities: in India at cybercrime.gov.in; in the US to NCMEC’s CyberTipline; elsewhere to your local police or hotline (INHOPE).

4. How we respond

  • Child-safety reports are treated as our highest priority and reviewed as soon as possible, and always within 24 hours.
  • We remove the content, permanently ban the accounts involved and preserve the evidence as the law requires.
  • We report CSAM and child exploitation to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Indian law enforcement, and cooperate with their investigations.

5. Compliance

Memoir complies with applicable child-safety laws, including India’s Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Information Technology rules, and the reporting obligations that apply to us.
